I’m a professionally trained cabinetmaker, building authentic hand-made furniture to commission at a small workshop in Southwark, South London.

I design and make classic, timeless, bespoke pieces, inspired by the English Arts and Crafts movement and by the beauty and character of the timber I select.

Every item is an original, planned to your specification and crafted in sustainable British hardwoods using traditional hand tools and techniques. I also work with clients and portable sawmill contractors to produce furniture-grade timber from fallen trees.

My furniture will last you for many years and will look good in almost any domestic interior, whether it’s modern or period. I'm currently working on a pair of stretcher tables in cherry, while my latest completed commission is two nesting tables in locally-grown London plane. You can see how I made them here.

New furniture commissions

Please note that I'm not currently taking any new furniture commissions. But do continue sending me your inquiries: I'll pass them on to my colleague Andrew Marsh, a fine Arts and Crafts-trained cabinetmaker. Here's some of Andrew's work.

Timber milling and sales

I've recently formed a small venture with experts in woodland management and arboriculture to handle my sawmilling work and timber sales. It's called Timberyard.co.uk and you can read about it here. Please use the Timberyard.co.uk contact form to get in touch with me about milling trees into planks or buying quality hardwood.
